Alex Muirhead

Alex is a renouned connoisseur of both musical theatre and Mr Kipling confectionery. Favourite rôles to date include the Emcee in Cabaret and The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz, to name but two. Joining Pantheon for their production of Jesus Christ Superstar (2003) to play moneylender, soldier and leper 4, he subsequently featured as Mac in 42nd Street, Pepe in West Side Story and ensemble in Boogie Nights.

As a director of Pantheon, Alex headed the artistic planning side of things from 2004 to 2009. He is taking a break from managing the club to pursue other interests but is delighted to be part of Rent, especially as he worked tirelessly to secure the rights to allow Pantheon to be the first club in Glasgow to produce the show.

When not advancing his showbiz career, Alex sleeps and occasionally eats. He would like to thank all those in his life who make every day a drama and every night a musical! (Honest living, man!)
