Kris Clark

Kris joined Pantheon in 2003, fresh from a trip to Australia where he appeared as Reme and Dancaire in the World Première of A Carmen with Byron Bay Theatre Company. He has since appeared as an Apostle in Jesus Christ Superstar at The King’s Theatre, demonstrated his brass playing skills as the Bosun in Return to The Forbidden Planet at Gilmorehill G12, and played Jack Warner and Gremio in Kiss Me Kate.

Towards the end of 2004, he appeared in two productions, a repeat run of Return to The Forbidden Planet at the Waterford Festival in September, and our November 2004 production of An Inspector Calls at the The Cottier Theatre. He is currently rehearsing for a production of Pygmalion with Giffnock Theatre Players, in which he will play Freddy Eynsford-Hill.

Whilst ‘Down Under’, Kris trained in the Japanese art of Butoh with renowned choreographer Cheryl Heazlewood, and is currently devising a new work which he hopes to perform in Glasgow soon.

Previous appearances at The King’s include 3 runs as Noah Claypole in Oliver! (2000–2002), Fisherman in La Cage aux Folles, Louis, Goon and Kop in Mack & Mabel, the tap-dancing Footman in Me and My Girl and Willie in Copacabana, all with the Apollo Players.

A keen soloist, Kris sang in Songs from The Shows at Dumfries Theatre Royal in 2002, and was in a winner at their Music Festival in the millennium year. He also performed in The Sound of His Music at the Royal Concert Hall with the RSNO.

Extra work includes several appearances for short film and television, including Marcie’s Dowry for the BBC’s Tartan Shorts series, the second season of Sea of Souls, voiceovers for TV and radio commercials and a ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-him’ appearance in a HEBS advert on Scottish Television.
