Nikki Gillespie
42nd Street marks not only Nikki’s Pantheon debut, but her first ever appearance in a full scale musical production. 19-year-old Nikki has been dancing since she was two and, over the years, has won various medals and trophies including Scottish Junior Tap Championships (1998 and 1999) and the Central Scotland Senior Tap Championship (2001). Nikki has also attended Scottish Ballet’s Junior Associate Scheme and was a cheerleader for the Scottish Claymores’ Junior Squad. After completing her BA (Hons) in Social Sciences at the University of Paisley, Nikki aims to become a fully qualified dance teacher and perhaps have a school of her own one day.
Nikki describes taking on the rôle of Peggy Sawyer as one of the most daunting experiences of her life to date. However, we’re sure life will imitate art and she’ll go out a youngster and come back a STAR!
