T. J. Stirling
Born at the age of 7 to confuse enemy spies, T. J. was brought up in a very theatrical family. He quickly drifted into the world of rock music and has been singing and playing bass for longer than he cares to remember. (He's mostly into rock and heavy metal, but he has been known to sing along to Brittney when he thinks no one is looking.)
Jesus Christ Superstar was T.J.’s third show in 2003—after playing Jigger in Carousel with Glasgow Light Opera Club [gloc.org.uk] and Sir Despand in Ruddigore with the Savoy [savoyclub.org].
He made his Pantheon debut as the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, and played Melvyn P. Thorpe in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas both in 2001.
T.J. has enjoyed success in a variety of guises to date—as Pluto in Orpheus In The Underworld (Alloa Musical Players), Freddie Trumper in Chess, Emcee in Cabaret, Petrucio in Kiss Me Kate, Doc in Calamity Jane, Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet and Ali Hakim in Oklahoma, all in a remarkably similar accent, if his wife is to be believed.
As well as musical theatre, T.J. is in three bands, including Blue Sugar [blue-sugar.co.uk], who are on tour June 2003 to support The Heavy Metal Kids, and Eradiate And Evolve with whom he is recording an album. His other band, Anubis Dawn recorded an album in 2001.
T.J. is also writing his own show, Vampyre.
