Vincent Clarke

Vincent currently teaches secondary school business studies.

He started acting with Clydebank Musical Society, playing leading rôles including The Wiz in The Wiz, The King in The King And I, Johnny Casino in Grease, Gremio in Kiss Me Kate and Gerald Bolingbroke in Me And My Girl. With Playaway Productions he played Moth in the play Two, and Kav in Stags And Hens; and with SAMS he created the rôle of Peter in the Scottish Première of Who Do You Say I Am?

Vincent has a long association with Theatre South Productions, playing Judas in Godspell, Oscar Lindquist in Sweet Charity, Simon Zelotes in Jesus Christ Superstar, Baby John in West Side Story and Rusty Charlie in Guys And Dolls. In 1998 he directed the play False Pretences for Theatre South's revue, The Full Montage. He also played Billy Lawlor in Anything Goes for Guys’n’Gals.

For the last few years, Vincent has performed with the Apollo Players. He has played principal rôles in La Cage Aux Folles (Phaedra), West Side Story (Big Deal) and Mack And Mabel. Most recently he performed in the concert tribute to Richard Rogers, The Sound of His Music in the Royal Concert Hall with the RSNO.

Vincent is heavily involved with Scottish Swimming and Synchronised Swimming and is a technical official at national and international events.

Jesus Christ Superstar was Vincent's first show with Pantheon and he was delighed to be playing Jesus. He would like to dedicate his performance to the memory of his brother John.
