WINNER! Best new MUSICAL, Olivier Awards 2000

George Stiles and Anthony Drewe met at Exeter University in the late 80’s and have been writing together ever since.

The show started life at The Watermill Theatre, Newbury on 11 December 1993 and was originally called The Ugly Duckling or the Aesthetically Challenged Farmyard Fowl.

The National Theatre production of Honk!, which ran in rep from 11 December 1999 to 25 March 2000, was the first original British musical ever to be produced there and rewarded the production team and cast with the 2000 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
